Cockroach Control in Central Iowa

Cockroaches multiply fast and hide in places sprays from the hardware store will never reach. Our cockroach program targets the entire population — including egg cases — using gel baits, IGRs, and crack-and-crevice treatments applied by licensed Iowa technicians. We treat homes, apartments, restaurants, and commercial kitchens across Central and Southeast Iowa.

Signs of an infestation

  • Live roaches at night when you turn on the kitchen light
  • Pepper-like droppings in cabinets, drawers, or behind appliances
  • A musty, oily smell in the kitchen or bathroom
  • Egg cases (small brown capsules) along baseboards or under sinks
  • Shed skins near food storage or warm appliances

Our process

  1. 1

    Inspect & identify

We confirm species (German, American, Oriental, brown-banded) and locate harborage points — under appliances, in voids, behind cabinets.

  2. 2

    Bait & treat

We apply targeted gel baits and growth regulators where roaches feed and breed, and treat cracks and crevices with residual product.

  3. 3

    Sanitation walkthrough

We point out moisture, food access, and clutter issues that attract roaches so the treatment actually holds.

  4. 4

    Follow-up

Cockroach jobs typically need 2–3 visits over 4–6 weeks for full elimination. We re-treat free between scheduled visits.

Why DIY usually fails

Foggers and aerosol sprays scatter roaches into wall voids and other units, making infestations worse. Our gel baits are taken back to harborage and kill the population at the source.

Iowa seasonal timing

Cockroaches are an indoor, year-round pest in Iowa. Activity often spikes in winter when populations move deeper into heated spaces.

FAQ

Yes. We use targeted baits and crack-and-crevice applications — not broadcast sprays — so exposure is minimal once treatments dry.
