Pest Control in Polk City, Iowa

Polk City sits right on the edge of Saylorville Lake and the Big Creek corridor, and that puts it in the wettest, most timbered pocket of the north metro. Mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, and fall rodent movement out of the timber are what we treat here most.

A short history of Polk City

Polk City was platted in 1866 and named, like the county, for President James K. Polk. It stayed a small farm town for over a century.

The completion of Saylorville Dam in 1977 flooded the Des Moines River valley just east of town, creating Saylorville Lake and Big Creek State Park. Recreation and lake-area housing have since driven Polk City's growth from about 1,600 residents in 1990 to more than 5,500 today.
