Pest Control in Norwalk, Iowa

Norwalk sits on the Warren County hills between Des Moines and Indianola, and it has grown from a small town to a commuter city in about twenty-five years. Subdivisions carved into former pasture and timber mean voles, field mice, and wasps are constant, and the wooded draws keep spider and tick pressure up.

Common Norwalk pest problems

Voles tunneling through new lawns and landscaping beds — a signature Norwalk problem on former pasture ground.

Field mice entering new builds each fall through garage thresholds and unsealed utility penetrations.

Wasps and bald-faced hornets in soffits, deck rails, and playsets across the newer subdivisions in July and August.

Wooded draws and ravines behind homes push wolf spiders and ticks toward the house from August on.

Farm and acreage service south and west of town: barn mice, cluster flies, and stored-feed pests.

Norwalk pest control FAQ

Usually voles. They leave surface runways in the turf and gnaw plant crowns, while moles push up soil ridges. Norwalk's former pasture ground makes voles very common.
