A short history of Corydon

Corydon was founded in 1851 as the seat of Wayne County. On June 3, 1871, the Jesse James gang robbed the Ocobock Brothers Savings Bank on the square in broad daylight — one of the most famous robberies of the James gang's career and still part of the town's identity.
